Summary
ShotPad runs entirely inside your browser. Screenshots, annotations and exported files never leave your device. We do not collect analytics, telemetry or personal data.
What the extension does with your data
- Screenshots are captured with Chrome's
captureVisibleTabAPI, stored temporarily in your browser's IndexedDB so the editor can open them, and deleted automatically after 24 hours or when you clear extension data. They are never transmitted. - Settings and licence state are stored in
chrome.storage.localon your device. - Exports are saved to your Downloads folder or copied to your clipboard by you.
Network requests
The extension makes exactly one kind of network request: when you activate or re-verify a Pro licence key, it sends that key to dodopayments.com (Dodo Payments, our payment provider) to confirm it is valid. No page content, screenshots or browsing data are included. Dodo Payments' handling of purchase data is covered by their privacy policy.
Permissions

Payments
Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record. We receive your email address and order details from them to support you; we do not see your card details.
